A Search Engine Optimization campaign can also be inspected by a small business owner to promote the digital footprint of the company’s online website.

The following rationale needs to be kept in mind if SEO is indeed being implemented by a small business owner:

  1. Never play around with Black Hat SEO techniques which will result in search engine penalties and blacklisting.
  2. Always be on top of things especially when it comes to the SEO campaign. The small business owner should try and get a beginner’s knowledge regarding SEO so that any malpractices by the service provider can be identified by the small business owner.
  3. Gaining a basic knowledge about free SEO tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. This will enable the small business owner to keep track regarding the success/failure of the SEO campaign.
  4. Signing up and creating a Google+ profile for the small business which lends authority to the company website when such social feeds are included as part of the design builds.
  5. Implement a SEO strategy which is geared towards multiple search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. This way if search engine rankings improve on all the platforms, the amount of increase in the number of online visitors will be three fold.
  6. Incorporate the use of paid Pay per Click campaigns to complement the organic SEO strategy.
  7. Using high quality and frequently updated content will gain favors from both search engine crawlers and human visitors.
  8. The content on the website of a small business should be persuasive enough to convince the visitor for closing the deal and completing a purchase. This means that the content should be relevant, informative and engaging for the end user and satisfy his reason for coming online to search for something.
  9. Strive to reduce redundancy as much as possible by removing similar content spread out over multiple web pages.
  10. Try to reduce the total page count which makes it easier for both search engine crawlers and human visitors to navigate through the website.
  11. Stay away from a “Cut, Copy, Paste” approach where content from similar websites are blindly used to build up the content matter in a small business website.
  12. Any content uploaded onto a small business website should be linked with a Google+ profile as this lends authenticity and genuineness to all the related matter.
  13. Analyze the content for competitor websites and strive to be one step ahead of them so that search engine rankings improve in the long run.
  14. Making the content on a small business website user friendly will result in lower bounce rates and lead to people spending more time on the target website (both positive metrics for higher search engine rankings).
  15. Healthy use of videos which increase the amount of time an end user spends on a website (provided the content is attention worthy).
  16. A picture can be the equivalent of a hundred words and promote continued discussion/online chatter. This will lead to more back links which are SEO friendly.

Cheap Web Design Manchester

More and more people today are spending an increasing amount of time on mobile devices. These mobile devices include both smart phones and tablets. Fewer people are accessing conventional websites designed for desktop users. More and more companies have adopted a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device to Work) policy where employees are using personal mobile devices to access online content. All these changes, summed up together, bring forth the argument in favor of Responsive Web Design.

A website whose design elements incorporate a Responsive Web Design can be viewed through multiple devices. Depending on the type of device which is used for viewing (be it mobile, desktop or tablet), the layout of the website will change dynamically so that it remains end user friendly in terms of the user interface.

Listed below are some of the main reasons why a website should have a responsive web design structure:

  1. Search Engine Rankings: If a website is mobile friendly, this is seen in a positive light by search engine crawlers and gets assigned higher rankings in terms of the ranking algorithm. This will drive up the volume of visitors leading to higher sales figures.
  2. Promoting the end user experience: Since there is only one website which is common for all the viewing platforms, it makes it easier for the end user. He/she is able to see the same content using a multitude of devices (where the layout adjusts dynamically) and doesn’t need to restart the search activity from scratch.
  3. Leaner Maintenance Structure: It is easier to manage one single website which is leveraging responsive web design rather than maintaining separately 3 different websites, one each for desktop, mobile and tablet. Digital Marketing Campaigns, SEO Campaigns and Report Generation can all be focused on one single primary website.
  4. Drive Conversion Rates and Sales Numbers: A website which does not have a responsive web design will deliver a negative impact on the minds of the potential customer because of the user interface. If the potential customer has to scroll multiple times to view the entire webpage content, it is highly unlikely that he/she will be satisfied enough to go in for a firm purchase.
  5. Support for blogging and social media feeds. A website which supports these functionalities will benefit from increased online traffic because such mediums are mostly accessed from mobile devices.
  6. Lower Bounce Rates: A web site which has a responsive web design is more likely to attract and retain online traffic. This significantly reduces the quantum of bounce rates and promotes higher search engine rankings.
  7. Low Load Times: A responsive web design build element will significantly reduce the time taken to load a specific web site thereby retaining those first time visitors who are needed for promoting total web traffic.
  8. Easier to adapt to changing market trends: Once a website has been designed for a particular screen size (and is already having a responsive web design), it does not take that much of an extra effort for supporting newer screen sizes for the future.

For Cheap Web Design Manchester, one can always get in touch with Lyseis Marketing Limited. Our websites are of a very high quality and incorporate the use of Responsive Web Design as part of the design build.

Product Photography Manchester

Product Photography has become a very popular digital marketing channel over the last couple of years. The widespread proliferation of the World Wide Web or Internet has meant that more and more people are spending their time online. Corporate entities have taken notice of this growing trend and are now advertising their wares (be it goods or services) over the internet.

A successful product photography session will yield high quality still images which can be posted on a company’s website for attracting potential customers and persuading them to go in for a final purchase.

The following “unique” tips should be followed to differentiate oneself from other competitors and really stand out in a “crowd”:

  1. Innovative display structures like the “hanging” of the target product: Where possible, unique viewing angles should be created for displaying the target product. This can be achieved by using additional “props” for hanging the product and augmenting the attractiveness of the entire setup.
  2. Most product photographers like to play it safe and the normal viewpoint for the shot is from a standard eyesight level. However, if the intention is to capture customer attention, then the photographer needs to think out of the box and capture the shot from odd angles (without distorting the product display).
  3. Inclusion of high quality “macros”. A successful product photography shoot should always include a collection of “Macro” shots where the light quality is excellent and even the minutest of details are visible to the viewer.
  4. Most product photography shoots will feature the target product in an everyday setting. Taking the example of a watch, a normal product photography shoot will feature this watch on the wrist of a person. A unique shoot on the other hand will involve the creation of a set which is completely different from this and if successful, will attract and retain customer attention.
  5. Usage of modern toolsets for enhanced graphical designs. Software kits like Photoshop & Corel Draw can be used to manipulate existing visuals from a product photography shoot to create engaging and out of this world visuals (which are bound to attract viewer attention).
  6. Creating a background image which is out of the box. This will not only attract viewer attention but in many cases, improves the visual appeal of the target product as against using a plain white background.
  7. Making use of a reflective surface adds a lot of dimension to the visual appeal of the target product. A number of natural props can be used like mirrors, water and lighting.
  8. Usage of “Out of the Box” Props: These items can be used as stands for the target product. Depending on the product context, the photographer can use boxes, a human hand etc.
  9. Adding the “Human” touch to a product photography shoot can make all the difference between a final sale or a lost customer. Potential customers are often swayed by quirky statements and images involving human interaction with the target product.

If you are on the lookout for Product Photography Manchester, feel free to connect with Lyseis Marketing Limited for firming up your next campaign shoot. We also offer custom event and location photography services.

SEO Company Manchester

Search Engine Optimization is the implementation of a set of structured techniques, the end result of which (in the long run) will be higher search engine rankings. Higher rankings from search engines will drive up the quantum of visitor traffic to a target website (possibly leading to higher conversion rates and sales numbers).

There are a number of different search engine optimization techniques available which can be implemented for a clients target website:

  1. On-Page Optimization techniques involve direct changes to the design and build structure of the target website. They include changes to the page title, use of Meta tags like Meta description, use of “ALT” tags for images etc.
  2. Off-Page Optimization techniques include steps like article submission, blog writing, press release writing, guest blog posting, and social bookmarking etc. all of which involve the usage of the finalized key words designated for that website.

Frequent SEO audits are an integral part of a long term SEO strategy. The purpose of a typical SEO audit is to red flag any issues which may be detrimental towards the achievement of a higher search engine ranking.

One of the major focus points of a SEO Audit is Site Infrastructure.

When it comes to Site Infrastructure, the following elements become very important in terms of a SEO Audit:

  1. Page Inclusion Statistics: This metric lists out the total number of web pages being crawled and indexed by a search engine crawler.

If the number of web pages being crawled and indexed is a very low count, then there is an inherent problem which needs to be resolved.

  1. txt File: The content within this file indicates to search engine crawlers pertinent sections of a website which should not be crawled and indexed. However in many real world engagements, there have been cases where the robots.txt file was used during the developmental phase of a website (for keeping out the search crawlers) but the file has not been updated at the time of go-live (indicating to search engine crawlers that it is now ok to crawl and index the web pages).
  1. Redirect Server Syntax: Search Engine Crawlers need to be provided with correctly coded syntaxes. Examples of these would be a 301 and a 302 redirect.

A 301 is a permanent redirect while a 302 is a temporary redirect which will signal to the search engine crawler that the redirect is short term and that the crawler can visit the web page again.

  1. Provision of Sitemaps: The existence of a XML Sitemap makes it very easy for search engine crawlers to locate the main components of a website. As a result, the crawling and indexing process is faster and much more efficient. The provisioning of a HTML sitemap makes it easier for online visitors to coalesce and navigate through multiple web pages.

5. URL Design Structure: A properly formatted URL should ideally contain the keywords and as much descriptive content as possible. Numbers and codes should never form a part of the URL string as this makes it difficult to decipher what the web page is all about (applies to both search engine crawlers and humans).

Product Photography Manchester

Product Photography is an art as compared to an exact science. Being a sub-component of mainstream Commercial Photography, Product Photography is a paid service which is provided by the service provider to the interested client.

The end result of a Product Photography shoot is the creation of high quality visuals in terms of brilliant still images. These images can then be used for catalogues, brochures or part of a online website content.

As with other service offerings, the quality of work delivered for the client is dependent on multiple factors. In the case of a product photography campaign, the type of camera used for the shoot is extremely important.

Listed below are some of the more famous camera hardware options which can be used by any product photographer:

  1. Nikon D800: This premium product retails at a price of USD$ 2800. Having a 36 megapixel sensor, the Nikon D800 also provides high quality video capture and a superb autofocus system.
  2. Nikon D600: Having a retail price of USD$2000, the Nikon D600 comes equipped with a 24 megapixel sensor. In comparison to the Nikon D800, the Nikon D600 takes up less storage space when it comes to power users.
  3. Nikon D7100: This unit retails for USD$1200 and has an amazing crop sensor. This model comes outfitted with the latest technical toolset and is cheaper than both the Nikon D800 and D600 because the onboard photo sensor has a scaled down configuration.
  4. Canon EOS 5D MK III: This premium offering from Canon retails for USD$3500. This unit has a premium video capture setup and the quality of still images is very high, backed up by the 22 megapixel sensor.
  5. Canon EOS 6D: This quality offering from Canon retails for around USD$2,000. One of the nice features of this model is the availability of Wi-Fi where the camera can be controlled by a smart phone and it is easier to do image transfers. As far as picture quality is concerned, the Canon EOS 6D does not disappoint with a 20 megapixel sensor.
  6. Canon EOS 70D: This model retails for USD$1200 and packs in a 20 megapixel sensor. The model also comes outfitted with onboard Wi-Fi and a multitude of post processing filters.
  7. Canon EOS Rebel T3i: This entry level offering from Canon retails for USD$500 and comes with an 18 megapixel camera. This model also has a good video capture setup and is suitable for entry level photographers.
  8. Sony ALPHA SLT-A99V: This beast of a DSLR from Sony retails for USD$2800. This model has a powerful 24 megapixel sensor and a very robust video capture utility. The only drawback is the lack of varied lenses which are compatible with this unit.
  9. Sony ALPHA SLT-A77: This offering from Sony Corporation has a list price of USD$1500. This crop sensor model has an onboard 24 megapixel sensor and supports advanced autofocus functionality during video capture also.
  10. Sony ALPHA SLT-A65: This budget offering from Sony Corporation retails for around USD$750. It features a 24 megapixel sensor but lacks the advanced auto focus functionalities present in the A77 variant and has slower frames per second metric. The A65 is perfect for beginners looking to buy a quality product on a shoestring budget.

SEO Company Manchester

Search Engine Optimization refers to the process whereby multiple strategies are implemented in order to improve a websites search engine rankings. A successful SEO campaign will improve the websites S.E.R.P. rankings thereby attracting more inbound web traffic. More visitors to a company’s online website will translate into higher conversions and final sales numbers.

Given below are some “real world” SEO tool tips which will be of great benefit to a SEO “newbie”:

  1. Constant monitoring of search engine rankings. It’s impossible to decide if a SEO campaign is successful or not unless the target websites rankings are monitored on a daily basis. This will necessitate any further changes to the overall SEO strategy dynamics depending on whether the ranking has gone down or up.
  2. Proper placement of keywords. Once the list of keywords for a target website has been finalized, these have to be used in specific areas of the webpage. Keywords have to be a part of the title, the content, the URL structure and image objects etc. Keyword stuffing should be avoided at all costs in order to avoid any penal outcomes imposed by the search engines.
  3. Proper usage of internal links. All the individual web pages which make up the overall website needs to be interlinked with one another. This not only augurs well with the search engine crawlers but also makes it easier for the end user to navigate through the website.
  4. Usage of a well structured sitemap. This makes it easier for search engine crawlers to search for and index a specific website.
  5. Coinage of a well structured URL. Any codes or numbers should be avoided as it makes it difficult for both the search engine crawler and the end user to know what the target web page is all about. Keywords should ideally be a part of the finalized URL structure.
  6. Usage of flash should be avoided at all costs. It is inherently invisible to the search engine crawlers and does little to improve rankings. If flash is used though, appropriate text and navigation options should be placed alongside explaining the overall context.
  7. Image descriptions need to be provided. Image names should make use of the relevant keywords. The “ALT” tag should be invoked and used to provide a proper description for every available image and keywords have to form a part of the image description. Proper captioning should also be made use of using appropriate keywords.
  8. High quality content material is of paramount importance. The content also needs to be relevant, engaging and updated on a frequent basis. If these steps are followed on a consistent basis, then user retention will be high and search engine crawlers will see all this in a positive light.
  9. Social Media Presence: Being active on multiple social media platforms increases a site’s online digital footprint and visibility. Sharing important information on major social media channels like Facebook, Twitter etc. goes a long way in generating much needed back-links.
  10. Relationship Building: It is always a good practice to reach out to site administrators of related sites and request for a link with them. If the content is relevant and informative, most site administrators will response positively.

Cheap Web Design Manchester

The global economy is now more digitally wired than ever before. Consumers are spending more of their time online when it comes to making purchases for consumer electronics, fashion and lifestyle products etc. Against this backdrop, it augurs well for a company to have a strong digital footprint, the foundation for which is built through the availability of a well designed website.

A website which is fresh, informative and engaging will attract and retain customer attention thereby leading to higher conversion levels and sales numbers.

Given below are some of the key design elements which need to be kept in mind while creating a Responsive Web Design:

  1. Proper Planning Activities: The layout and build of the website should be finalized and signed off as a starting step. The initial design build should be completed off-site and on paper before the actual build is executed online.
  2. Usage of Custom Toolsets: Developers should make use of modern software applications like Adobe Edge Reflow. Any Cascading Style Sheets which will be the output from this program can then be reused in a standard code editor like Adobe Dreamweaver etc. for further design improvements.
  3. Hierarchical Design Structure: This is where the design build is started taking into account the mobile platform. Once the mobile site is finalized, it is just a matter of scaling up the contents so that they can be accommodated on both tablet and desktop versions.
  4. Navigational Structure: The navigational component of the website design is extremely important and should take into account the end user experience. If the navigation flow is indirect or cumbersome to use, there is a high chance that users will exit the website leading to higher “bounce” figures.
  5. “Look and Feel” Aspects: Small design elements if not done correctly will go a long way towards disrupting the end user experience. For a mobile site, if the buttons are not large enough, this creates problems for the end user while using his/her fingertips.
  6. Using a mix of various software programs: Simple websites can be created by using the standard templates available on WordPress. However, more complicated engagements will require the use of multiple software programs at each level of development and testing.
  7. Image Optimization Steps: Images will need to be optimized as part of the responsive web design framework. A properly optimized image object will take up lower bandwidth leading to faster load times. Supported formats include JPEG and GIF amongst many others.
  8. Maintenance & Update Issues: If a large team of developers are working on a single website, it pays to include comments as part of the underlying code structure. This makes it clear and lucid for all parties involved. A list of project related deliverables should also be finalized so that these are ready at the time of project closure.
  9. Incorporate the usage of Google Design Standards wherever possible. This will mean that the final iteration of the website is both SEO friendly and promotes a positive end user experience.

Clients interested in Cheap Web Design Manchester can always reach out to the team at Lyseis Marketing Ltd. for an initial consultation. A custom campaign will then be created which will take into account all the client requirements culminating in the creation of a high quality and engaging website.

Product Photography Manchester

Commercial Photography has various sub-elements like product photography, location photography and event photography.

Product Photography deals with the taking of high quality still images. These can then be used on brochures, catalogues or even uploaded to online web sites. The quality of the images taken need to be of a very high caliber since the potential customer will be taking a “make or break” decision based on the image content.

Given below are some tips which can be followed by amateur product photographers in order to deliver content which is both engaging and of a high quality:

  1. The target product should be cleaned thoroughly. Unless this is done, every speck of dirt, sand or fingerprint will come out in the digital image also. Modern day digital cameras have a very high resolution and can capture even the miniscule of objects with minimal effort. The target object should be cleaned with a soft cloth and if necessary and possible, diluted soap water should be used for the base cleaning liquid.
  2. Try to make use of the natural environment available outside. The availability of light is a very important criterion for product photography. If shooting outdoors, the photographer should opt for a location which is protected from direct sunlight but at the same time has a lot of diffused lighting available. If working indoors, the optimal location is next to a wide window where there is no direct sunlight.
  3. Creation of a white background for the target product to blend against. This can be achieved by using multiple sheets of white paper (the type used to make copies). The target product then needs to be placed on the white paper, the back of which needs to be propped up against a solid element thereby creating the natural white background.
  4. Use of a tripod. This will remove the chances of any blurry images resulting from camera shake. The tripod will also enable the photographer to take multiple rapid images all sharing the same quotient of light and shadow elements. The tripod will also enable the photographer to use a self-timer if needed.
  5. Usage of different viewing angles: Every effort must be made to take multiple still images from a range of viewing angles. At the end of the day, the potential customer should be able to get a “look and feel” for the product when viewing the same from different angles.
  6. Confirmation of different camera settings. This will depend from model to model. As a benchmark however, the flash should always be switched off. White Balance should be adjusted along with the ISO settings. Macro mode should also be selected as part of the camera setup steps.
  7. Follow through with the actual shot and evaluate the quality. If satisfied, the photographer should proceed with the steps below.
  8. Use GNU Image Manipulation Program which is a free to use open source software.
  9. Make changes to the digital image captured like cropping and removal of any specks of dirt or dust.
  10. Upload the final and edited photograph onto the website and review the same before final publication to the general public.

The team at Lyseis Marketing Ltd. are experts when it comes to Product Photography Manchester. We are adept at formulating custom product photography campaigns using best of breed equipment and experienced professionals.

SEO Company Manchester

Search Engine Optimization refers to the usage and implementation of a defined methodology, the end result of which is a higher ranking on multiple search engine listings. Higher rankings on search engine result pages will drive more online traffic to a specific website leading to higher conversion rates and more revenue.

On-Page SEO techniques refer to multiple design element changes implemented as part of the overall website design build. Effective implementation of the same leads to an improved visibility in the eyes of ranking algorithms thereby leading to better rankings.

Some of the industry recognized benchmarks for quality On-Page SEO techniques are listed below:

  1. Use of Page Titles: Each individual webpage should have a page title comprising the keywords relevant for that specific webpage. Search Engine crawlers will make note of the keyword in the page title as part of the indexation process. This way, later on, when a keyword (matching the one previously indexed) is entered as part of a search string, the original webpage will show up as part of the query results.
  2. Use of Meta Descriptions: A published web page should always have a meta description. Relevant keywords should be included as part of the meta description which serves to describe the content present within the webpage.
  3. Use of Meta Tags: The final webpage design build should incorporate the use of meta tags. These text snippets should include the finalized keywords and describe the content matter. In terms of visibility, meta tags are embedded within the source code for the web page.
  4. Proper URL Structure: Ideally the URL structure should identify directly with the brand identity. Every effort must be made to avoid coded numbers as part of the URL string. The final URL structure should clearly explain what the target webpage is all about. An URL structure which is search engine friendly will be indexed much faster by the search engine crawlers. The URL structure should also ideally contain the keywords identified for that target page.
  5. Use of graded Header Tags: When designing content which will be listed on a website, it is very important to keep the reader in mind. Proper sections and paragraphs should be used so that the reader can easily identify the end of a previous section and the beginning of the next. Proper usage of headings and sub-headings is required to clearly distinguish each section from one another.

Each section should be assigned a heading using the tags like H1, H2, H3 etc.

The H1 tag is used for the main heading of the page and subsequent headings are assigned using H2 tag and so on.

  1. Keeping Keyword Density down to a minimum: An ideal quotient for this metric should be between 2-5%. Keyword Stuffing should be avoided at all costs. All the finalized keywords should be used broadly within the content matter so that the same can be picked up by the search engine crawlers and indexed.
  2. Use of Image ALT TEXT attribute: Any image which is part of the primary webpage content should be SEO friendly. All the images should have titles included (and these titles should in turn include the relevant keywords) so that search results can be sourced from Google Images. In order to make the images visible to the search engine crawlers, both the “ALT TEXT” and “Description” attributes should be populated for each image in question.
  3. Usage of proper internal links: A website where each separate webpage is interlinked with one another augurs well in the eyes of a search engine crawler.

It also makes it easier for end users to navigate through an entire website consisting of multiple web pages. A satisfied user will spread the word and traffic will improve overall.
